Branding Sessions

It’s no secret that social media is our current top, and most popular, form of marketing— whether you are a big-name company or a local small-business owner! We all use social media to connect to our ideal clients and our audiences! As marketing turns towards brands and figures becoming more genuine and more authentic, it’s as important as ever for brands and businesses to have content that shows exactly who they are and what they offer!

Being a small business owner myself, I have truly loved working with brands and entrepreneurs and getting to know the heart of their business! It brings me so much joy to help bring their business to life through imagery!

Environmental/

Natural Headshots

A portrait of a light-haired woman sitting on a mid-century modern couch with plants and her arm resting on books about midwifery.
A portrait of a brunette, local, entrepreneur, woman in a pink top and striped skirt at a local eatery, sitting at their outdoor patio.

My take on headshots is a little different than the normal in-studio headshot experience. Since I’m an outdoors and natural light lover, I LOVE capturing you in a natural setting that compliments your business and mission— or even better, in your own environment!

As we all crave more genuine and transparent experiences with those we purchase services and goods through, an environmental headshot is a great way to truly show your true self to your followers and clients! I feel that this style of headshot lends to truly letting your personality shine and another opportunity to show you in your element or doing what you love the most!

In-Service Photography

Show off your business with a behind-the-scenes look and front row seat to what goes behind your service! In-service photography captures you and your team doing what you love most and the passion behind the name. It can also be incredibly helpful if your business is more unique and uncommon- it will give clients a visual of exactly the services you offer!

Product Photography

If you are a maker of goods or products, product photography is an essential part of your website and social media content- it shows off, after all, exactly what you make! Whether you don’t have the time for product shots or maybe you don’t feel as confident in your photography skills, hiring a photographer to capture your products is a great investment for your business! It shows exactly what your clients are purchasing and enhances your workmanship.

Matching Your Brand: My style, but YOUR color.

Your brand is not just created by your logo— but much more! It’s an accumulation of style, colors, fonts and imagery. When we work together, I always ask about your business and what creates your brand. As we set up your session, I’ll keep your logo, colors, fonts and feelings behind your business in mind, so that your images are cohesive with your brand.

All images that you receive from our branding session will be hand edited by me, which includes adding my organic/film/nature inspired colors and style. I understand how important it is to accurately represent the colors of your brand and your products. If you knit a pair of reddish pink socks, they should be portrayed as reddish pink! I never desaturate or manipulate the colors of the product to change the colors in the image. If color correction is needed, it is always with the product in mind.

Below is a, “Before and After,” example of my photo editing style - the original photo was a bit on the cooler/blue side and the after photo has been warmed up just enough to portray a warmer day. The red color of the socks and shirt was also warmed up with the photo, but not super-altered.

Two photos put together of the same photo- one is edited and one is not- of a woman's lower body sitting on a rock in a creek wearing red and pink knit socks.
