Wedding photography is a huge investment and such an important part to your wedding day! Once the vows have been said, the cake has been cut, and all of the guests return home after your beautiful day- the only thing you have left to remember your wedding are the photos! Having been a bride myself and knowing just how fast the day flies by, sometimes you miss all of the details and hard work that you put into the planning or miss some of those special moments with your family and friends at the ceremony or reception. Photography is a great way to capture and keep those memories for as long as have them.

The Process

When you book me for your wedding day, you’re not just booking your photographer or “another vendor,” — you’re gaining a friend! I take only a small amount of weddings and elopements per year so that I can fully invest in you and your story! Once you contact me about services, we’ll meet up for coffee (or video chat) to talk about all of the details. I love hearing the story of how you met and all about the proposal! After our first meeting, we’ll schedule your complimentary engagement session (included with all wedding packages), so that we can get to know each other even more and help you get comfortable in front of the camera (because let’s face it- it’s not something you do every day)! My goal is always to walk into the bridal suite on your wedding day and be able to ask, “Hey, how’s your dog?” or “How was your latest camping trip?” because I don’t want to be just “another vendor,” but I want it to feel like we’ve known each other for years.

On your day, I’m not just someone who “clicks a button.” I’m a dress and floral crown fixer, schedule and time keeper, family and bridal party wrangler (in the best way). I’ll be there to help you get into your dress, tear up behind the camera as you and your fiancé read your vows, and dance along with you at your reception (the wobble is my favorite)!

We’ll also set up a time to hop on a call! I highly recommend consultation calls so that we can meet, get to know each other, and so I can answer any questions you may have!

STEP ONE: INQUIRE + CONSULT

When you’re ready to proceed and book, I’ll send over the paperwork through email! Once I receive everything back, you guys are officially on my calendar! Leading up to the wedding, we’ll plan an engagement session (if you choose) and I can help with creating a day-of timeline and recommend any local vendors you may need!

STEP TWO: GET ON MY CALENDAR

When your day arrives, it’s time to relax and enjoy the big day with your friends and family! I’ll arrive early and will be with you throughout the day! When I get home, I download your files and back them up immediately! I love sending some sneak peeks within a week after your wedding. Your fully edited gallery will be delivered 10-12 weeks from your wedding day for you to relive the joy and magic!

Let Me Answer Your Questions.

  • Depending on your package, I usually bring along a second photographer to your wedding! These photographers are usually people that I have worked with before and have work that I know will mix in well with my own shots. These shooters are passionate about weddings as well and have wedding day experience. They're great at being in places when I can't be (I'm only one person, can't be in two places at once, haha), assisting with guests and family, and assisting with lighting. They're my right-hand helper on wedding days!

  • YES YES YES! In this digital age, backups are a MUST. Losing files is one of my worst fears. Right after your wedding day, I immediately download and backup your files to at least three different drives.

  • The rule of thumb is about 70-100 images per hour that I'm with you shooting, so it truly depends on your day! I always give as many as I deem quality and never have a cap on the amount of images.

  • I deliver your files via online download in a password protected gallery. Once all the images are finished, I'll upload them into sections of the day and email you the link and password. The only other people that I may share your gallery with are your vendors, who love seeing the cake, the florals, the dress, etc incorporated in your day! Once these files are downloaded, I highly recommend that you backup your own files and store them in a safe place.

  • Since I look through every image taken at your wedding (which can be anywhere from 500-5000 images to go through) and edit each keeper with care, it can take up to 3 months for me to deliver your images. Of course, I try to get them finished and to you as soon as I possibly can! I'm always so excited and thrilled to deliver them!

  • Nope! Sorry! My editing is the finishing touch to your images. Giving you RAW files would be like giving you a naked cake without the icing and decoration on top-- I'm sure you'd rather have the final product that is reflective of my style! Also, RAW files are enormous and take up so much space on your computer and require proper software to open

  • Absolutely! I love helping to create a timeline for your wedding day! It helps everyone stay on one page and helps create the flow of the day, and makes sure us photographers get the shots we need in the time required!

  • Yes, for weddings 5+ hours, I do require a meal for me and my sectnd shooter to have as you and your guests eat. We try to eat first thing, so that we can be ready for the upcoming events at the reception (toasts, dances, etc). After a long day of shooting getting ready, portraits, the ceremony and family, nothing is better than having a meal at the reception to refuel and continue to capture the evening as you dance the night way with your guests!

  • After we meet up or video chat and decide upon a quote, I require a signed contract and a non-refundable retainer to officially reserve your date! Since wedding dates are first-come-first-serve, I sadly cannot pencil-in or reserve a date without both a signed contract and retainer. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the wedding date.

  • Yes! I love traveling! If your location or venue is farther than 2-hours of drive time from Johnson City, TN, I do require a travel fee that will encompass at least a 2-night stay in a hotel/airbnb and travel expenses. Trips for father destinations may require flight fare and longer stays.

  • Absolutely! I am an LGBTQ+ ally. All love is welcome here.

  • Yes! I absolutely do! If you or your venue require a Certificate of Insurance, please let me know and I’ll be happy to provide a copy.

  • I have a special place in my heart for our military personnel and their dedication to our country. I’m happy to offer a 10% discount to our service members!

  • Long story short, I picked up my first camera in high school and havent looked back! I started photographing weddings in 2012 when I started assisting after college. Since going full time, I’ve photographed over 100 weddings!

  • I am a proud Canon girl! My main camera is a mirorless Canon R6 Mark II with a Canon R6 and 5d Mark III as my backups. All have dual slots so a backup set of files is created as I shoot. As for lenses, I have a 28-70mm, 35mm, 50mm, 100mm macro, and 70-200mm that I use throughout the day/session.

  • Sorry, no-can-do! A lot of factors go into creating a photo— weather, venue, lighting, camera equipment, etc. It's tough to replicate a photo exactly. I don't mind, however, to glance at your Pinterest board just to get a feel for your vision and what inspires you!
