Limestone, TN: Kayla + Aaron's Rustic Fall Engagement at the Millstone

These two are very dear and close to my heart. Kayla is my husband Andrew's cousin, so we've been fortunate to meet Aaron and watch his relationship with Kayla blossom from the beginning! I can tell you- their story is nothing short of magical.
I remember sitting on the couch at Andrew's grandmother's house drinking coffee, listening as Kayla told us the story of how they met. She said that her dad's church was hiring a youth pastor and she had (jokingly) told the family to pray that God sends a guy to the position that she could possibly date, and help lead the youth with. A week later, Aaron had messaged Kayla on an online dating site, and his job position happened to say, "youth pastor"! Seriously, what are the odds?! The two started chatting and Aaron applied for the position. He was the perfect candidate for the job! Shortly after, the two had started officially dating and the rest is history!
I don't know if Kayla knows this, but everyone in the family had been waiting for Aaron to propose! We just knew he was perfect for Kayla and we all were excited to hear he had bought the ring. The night of the proposal, Aaron was taking Kayla out for dinner when he told her he had left his wallet at the church. She had stayed in the truck, thinking it would only take him a minute. Aaron sent her a text saying something was weird and for her to come into the church. As she walked in, she said she could faintly hear music playing. She found Aaron on the stage by the youth room (where they both lead), lights twirling, and 'Perfect' by Ed Sheeran playing! He got down on one knee and of course, Kayla said, "yes!" They finished out the song and danced on stage.
Kayla and Aaron are getting married at the Millstone in Limestone, Tennessee this coming Spring! We jumped at the opportunity to catch the last bit of Fall and explored the grounds of the venue for their engagement session. It was unseasonably warm, so we were able to spend the whole evening there just laughing about Aaron's top 5 pizza toppings and chatting about wedding details! When the sun faded, I hopped on Spotify and played 'Perfect' and let them dance under the patio lights! It was a magical way to end our evening!
Aaron and Kayla -- we are all so incredibly ecstatic for you two! We can't wait to celebrate your wedding day and the start of your next biggest adventure together. I am so honored to capture the memories and welcome Aaron into the family (officially)! We love you two!
