The Lake House, Piney Flats, TN: Morgan's Elegant + Boho Lakeside Bridal Session

Bridal sessions have quickly become one of my favorite types of sessions that I offer! I absolutely love that my brides get to dress up in their dresses, test out their wedding day makeup and hairstyles, and we get to create some beautiful portraits! I love that there is much less stress than there is on a wedding day, which allows us to play around and get a bit creative. I also love that I often get to visit the venue ahead of the wedding day and pre-plan my portrait spots, too!

When Morgan asked me if we could do a bridal session prior to her wedding day at her venue, The Lake House, I of course jumped at the opportunity! I was so excited to see what style of dress Morgan had chosen and to finally see their gorgeous venue!

We started at the bridal cottage, where Morgan had gotten ready. She had brought a few sentimental items as well, that we were sure to incorporate— the shawl and the scarf around the bouquet were her grandmother’s. Morgan had told me that her grandmother had a lakefront property and she remembers spending a lot of family time there growing up and that’s a part of how they decided to get married at The Lake House! We then made our way around the property and ended our session down at the dock— my favorite spot.
