Sugar Hollow Retreat: Morgan + Meg's Elegant Navy Spring Wedding in the Mountains

Morgan and Meg’s wedding day at Sugar Hollow Retreat was nothing short of magical.
These two were originally supposed to get married in the winter, but due to Covid, they decided to reschedule for May. I know that rescheduling was so tough on everyone, but honestly, I am SO glad that they decided to wait. Sunshine just showered down on us the entire day— everything was green and had finally bloomed. Truly, the mountains were truly showing off for them!
When I arrived at Sugar Hollow, I was greeted by Morgan’s bridesmaids and their super cute pup, Huey! Everyone was buzzing with excitement. Once everyone was dressed and ready to go, we went out front of the cabin when Morgan’s dad came to pick up Huey. We had a very impromptu, but incredibly sweet and emotional, father first look! After we dried up some tears, we headed up to the Overlook Deck for the first look with Meg, where our eyes didn’t stay dry for long. It was so peaceful and quite at the Overlook Deck when we arrived— a perfect setting for Morgan and Meg to see each other for the first time all dressed up in their wedding day attire. After some portraits, we made our way to Overmountain Hall to get the ceremony and festivities started!
At the ceremony, Morgan and Meg did one of my favorite things that a couple can do on their day— walk down the aisle together! Once at the alter, they said their personal vows, wiped each others’ tears, exchanged rings and finally shared their first kiss as wife and wife! After family and bridal party photos, we headed to the reception where Morgan and Meg changed into their dancing shoes! We then celebrated at Overmountain Hall with their family and friends who gave some amazing toasts and danced the night away.
Morgan and Meg- Congratulations! I am over the moon ecstatic for you two! You definitely light each other up and your smiles say everything. Thank you for having me capture such a big day in your lives!
