The Millstone: Shay + David's Rustic Fall Wedding Day with their Golden Retriever Ring Bearer

David and Shay’s fall wedding was full of beauty, laughter, love, and dog kisses!

These two became husband and wife at one of East Tennessee’s most unique venues— The Millstone! The Millstone is an old grist flour mill that has been transformed into a stunning wedding venue. The reception space is enclosed by repurposed glass windows, too, giving it a rustic, almost greenhouse, feel! Combine the venue with an amazing couple, and Tennessee’s fall colors and you have just about the most perfect wedding day!

Shay and David kicked the day off by getting ready in the mill— the ladies were upstairs in the loft and the guys were downstairs in the basement complete with mill mechanics and penny floor! Once ready, Shay did first looks with her dad, David, her brother, and more importantly, their golden retriever, Murphy! Murphy also took on the important duty of ring bearer and definitely stole the show at the ceremony! They ended their evening dancing under the stars and bistro lights on the back patio— one of my favorite spots! Shay even busted out her best dance moves to Fergalicious and surprised us all!
