Sugar Hollow Retreat: Alli + Alex’s Timeless Elegant May Mountain Wedding in Butler, Tennessee

Alli and Alex are married!! These two adventurous souls traveled all of the way from Colorado to the mountains of Tennessee to celebrate with their friends and family at Sugar Hollow Retreat in Butler, Tennessee.

When I arrived at Sugar Hollow, the forecast kept saying that rain was on the way, but luckily held out for us for most of the day. We kicked off the day in the bridal suite and lodge while everyone got ready. After a sweet first look with Alli and her father, we headed up to the Overlook Deck for a bride and groom first look. Alli and Alex shared hugs, tears, and gifts under the shade of the forest.

Once we headed back for the ceremony, the clouds eventually broke and gave us a steady drizzle for their vows. Being as adventurous as they are, Alex and Alli chose to have the ceremony outside despite the rain and it was truly magical! Guests grabbed their umbrellas and watched as they exchanged rings and became husband and wife!

Once the rain passed, we did a few more newlywed portraits and group photos with their amazing wedding party! The mist in the mountains made for a magical backdrop. We then headed to the reception for some amazing intros, special dances and toasts, and memorable dance moves the entire night.
